Weddings
Saint Paul’s Anglican Church is a beautiful venue for weddings. The service is held according to the Rites of the Anglican Church of Australia and requires that it be celebrated by an Anglican priest.
When can I get married?
Weddings can be celebrated at any time of the year except in Lent – the six weeks prior to Easter Day. You are required to be over 18 years of age and if previously married need to provide evidence of nullity or dissolution and gain permission from the regional Bishop.
How do I apply?
A minimum of 30 days’ notice is required by the government however in practice at least three months is often required for preparation. Contact the parish and we will send you the necessary application forms and an information package.
Wedding Preparation
Church and government require that all persons entering into marriage undergo some form of preparation. We use the online Prepare & Enrich course for marriage preparation which involves a question and answer process followed by evaluation of responses and counselling where necessary. Rev’d Heather is a Prepare & Enrich facilitator.
How much does it Cost?
Currently the cost is $1,000 which includes marriage preparation, legal documentation, the Parish Priest, and the preparation of the church. A deposit of $250 is required to secure your booking.
