St Pauls Anglican Church Roma QLD

Roma

St Paul’s Anglican Church is situated at the corner of Arthur and Bungil Sts Roma. Regular services are held on Friday at 10am and on Sunday at 9am with Sunday School for Primary aged children. This service is followed by a fellowship Morning Tea where all are welcomed.

St Paul’s Church has considerable history. The present building was opened in November 1915. The centenary of its construction was marked with a weekend of celebrations. It is constructed in the Gothic style from cement bricks which were made manually by parishioners on site, under the direction of the then Rector, Rev Henry. It replaced a small wooden church which dated back to the 1875. Over the years it has gained forty-six stained glass and eleven lead light windows which are now a great drawcard to tourists.

St Paul’s Hall is situated adjacent to the Church which is regularly rented by different groups in the community. The hall is well maintained and is air conditioned.

Wallumbilla

St John the Baptist Anglican Church is situated at 61 High St, Wallumbilla.

It consists of a wooden church with a seating capacity of 100.

Services are held on the fourth Sunday of the month at 7am in summer and at 11am in winter. This is an ecumenical gathering of faithful Christians.

Wallumbilla is situated 40km east of Roma on the Warrego Highway and has a population of around 300. As with Roma, it services the rural community and the CSG industry

Yuleba Church Queensland

St Andrew’s Anglican Church is situated at 26 Perry St, Yuleba. It is a wooden church with a seating capacity of 75, has recently undergone substantial renovation and refurbishment. Services are held on the third Saturday of the month at 9am followed by a substantial morning tea. They are attended by an enthusiastic ecumenical gathering of faithful Christians.

Yuleba is situated on the Warrego Highway 20km east of Wallumbilla, 60km east of Roma. It has a town population of around 280.

St Peters Church Injune

Injune

Anglican Church of St Peter’s is situated in Hutton St, Injune. This Church, operating as Injune Churches Together, is utilised by the Anglican, Catholic and Uniting faiths for their services. St Peter’s has recently had an extension built on to it. The Anglican service is held every second month (Feb, March…) at 5pm.

Injune is situated 90km north of Roma on the Carnarvon Highway. It has a town population of around 360.
